The university security center exists to protect students and ensure their well-being. Students are encouraged to report security concerns for assistance. It upholds university interests based on national principles and addresses potential threats. To maintain order, students should cooperate with campus security and present their student ID upon request.
Securing the well-being of the university community, which include the students and faculty members as well as the employees is University of Birjand’s top priority. This also aligns well with Iran’s principles and values. This makes total sense as each institution seek internal coherence and discipline to achieve its goals and mission. It is understood that university is a place where the brightest and intelligent people gather; therefore, the university is responsible for not only promoting good conducts and behaviors but also maintaining high ethical standards, integrity and social accountability.

However, this only achieves through a secure environment, where the pursuit of knowledge and personal growth come into birth.
At University of Birjand, we hope your experience will be both enjoyable and fulfilling. It goes without saying that some challenges and setbacks may arise when some minor but important details are ignored. Therefore, the university’s security office presents a concise review of what students are expected to learn so as to overcome the challenges they may face throughout their learning journey to have a safe and enjoyable journey at the university!
- Choose your friends wisely. Good friends help each other grow at their studies and can have a positive impact on your life. Bad friends may invite you to make poor choices, smoking or break ruling. All these may result in academic failure or even expulsion.
- One of the biggest threats facing young people today is addiction to drugs and psychoactive substances. It is crucial that we raise awareness about this issue to prevent them from falling into this devastating trap. University students have a responsibility to protect their campus and dorms from ethical harm, and they should also make others aware of the serious consequences. This should be noted that if university rules are broken, especially regarding drugs, violence or spreading immoral content, the disciplinary committee will take strict legal action.
- Organizing recreational trips without the university’s permission is prohibited, and the university will not be held responsible for them. If any incident occurs, the student involved will be fully responsible. We recommend that you participate in the official academic, recreational and pilgrimage tours organized by the university instead.
- It is important to be aware that some groups may intentionally try to influence students’ beliefs. We encourage students to be mindful and think critically throughout their academic journey. If students find themselves questioning their beliefs or feeling uncertain due to someone else’s influence, they should seek guidance from a trusted advisor or visit the university’s counseling center.
- Due to the risk of misuse of lost phones, students are strongly encouraged to avoid storing family photos or personal information on their phone. Students should be mindful when using the internet, as their content and communications can be easily misused by others.
- The Art of Saying “No” Students should firmly say “no” to unnecessary gifts, peer pressure for smoking or drug use, attending inappropriate gatherings, or anything that compromises their dignity. Saying no might cost them some friendships, but it will never lead to deep regret. Students should never accept packages, entrusted items, or objects from strangers before verifying their identity. When receiving calls from unknown individuals, they should never share their name, phone number, or personal information about themselves or their friends until they confirm the caller’s identity.
- Dorms should reflect a healthy and calm living environment. Students should inform dorm authorities if staying overnight elsewhere. They should report any issues, such as roommate conflicts or facility problems. They are expected to respect dorm’s rules to maintain order. They should notify dorm officials when bringing or removing valuables like computers.
- Students should seek strength in God, rather than relying on weak human support. No one is entirely trustworthy with all their secrets; some may even misuse their words. Only God is their true confidant. Family is the most reliable friend and support for students. In difficult moments, they should turn to their family for guidance, as their loved ones care about their success and take pride in their achievements.
