The induction ceremony of the Director of Consular Affairs of international students in South Khorasan was introduced
The induction ceremony of the new Director of the Consular Affairs of South Khorasan Province was held on Sunday 24th of May, 2023. Dr. Rahimi, the Director of the International Students Consular Affairs in the Student Affairs Organization of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology joined this ceremony as a special guest. The president of the University of Birjand, the Director of the Immigration & Passport Police Office, and the Director of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in South Khorasan also joined this ceremony.
Dr. Rahimi, enumerated the policies and actions carried out in Iran’s Organization of Student Affairs. He also emphasized the need to pay much more attention to facilitating the process of admitting international students within the framework of previously established criteria. In addition, the President of the University of Birjand, Dr. Ahmad Lamei, mentioned the privileges and potentials of South Khorasan province for attracting and admitting international students from Afghanistan. Dr. Lamei pointed out the policies arranged in University of Birjand regarding increasing the number of international students in this university. He requested that more support is required from the Student Affairs Organization in order to implement the university's international plans.
Also, in this meeting, vice directors and officials of international students across various organizations in South Khorasan Province expressed their concerns and requested information on some matters. At the end of this meeting, Sir Alireza Masoumi was introduced as the new Director of the Consular Affairs of South Khorasan Province.
Office of Consular Affairs of international students in South Khorasan is located in University of Birjand as the designated university of the province and provides visa and residence services for international students of all universities inside the province.
