Meeting on the advancement of scientific collaboration between University of Birjand and Khatam-ul-Nabiin University of Afghanistan

Video conference on the advancement of scientific international collaboration and promotion of relations between the members of University of Birjand Board of Directors and the Presidency team of Khatam-ul-Nabiin University of Afghanistan was held in the afternoon of Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

In this online meeting, the President of University of Birjand, Dr. Lamei, expressed satisfaction on the development of international scientific relations with Khatam-ul-Nabiin University. Dr. Lamei announced readiness on behalf of the University of Birjand to enhance scientific cooperation in all areas and scopes. He asserted that the University of Birjand is willing to accept potentially qualified students from Afghanistan.

Dr. Novidinia, Director of the international scientific cooperation office of University of Birjand, enumerated the privileges University of Birjand holds for promoting collaborations with Afghanistan. He also emphasized the readiness of this office to implement the Memorandum of Understanding already arranged with Khatam-ul-Nabiin University.

In this meeting, Dr. Akbarpour, Vice Director for Research, Technology and Innovation Affairs, Dr. Hosseini Vashan, Vice Director of Education and Graduate Studies Affairs, and Dr. Mousavi, Vice Director of University of Birjand, explained about the policies and potentials of the university in various fields.

Dr. Sajjadi, President of Khatam Al Nabiin University, expressed gratitude to University of Birjand for holding this online meeting and introduced Khatam Al Nabiin University. He emphasized the readiness of Khatam Al Nabiin university to operationalize the MoU already arranged between the two universities. Also, Dr. Habibi, the head of Ghazni Campus of Khatam-ul-Nabiyin University, while introducing the Ghazni Campus of this university, expressed hope that scientific exchanges between the two universities will develop.

At the end of this meeting, it was agreed that a committee consisting of representatives of the two universities will prepare the content of the agreements and assess their potential for implementation in subsequent meetings.
